Tip and tricks with caps-manager.
Public WIFI hotspots became omnipresent during the last decade and the requirements for such installations did constantly change. See how MikroTik fits the picture of today’s public WIFI industry and the latest generation of hotspot deployments. Learn how RouterBOARD hardware and RouterOS software features can be combined to do the job and where third party accessories will be needed to provide a complete solution for planning, installing and running modern public WIFI services.
Real world application of MikroTik Routing abilities
The 'invisible' radio spectrum seen through the eyes of a Spectrum Analyser. The presentation will reveal what is really going on with transmitter powers and spectrum usage with various modes such as 802.11 and NV2, using 802.11a/b/g/n/ac
Network simulation tools are very useful in the study of protocols and forecasting the behavior of complex network topologies. Networks that are in production can be 'mirrored' in order to test things like new configurations and new software versions, before doing them in the real world. GNS3 (Graphical Network Simulator) is a powerful and stable platform that can simulate several systems like Cisco, Juniper and also RouterOS. This presentation will show not only how to install and use the simulator, but also will go through the study of complex topologies examples used in practice. About the presenter: Wardner Maia, Electronic/Telecommunications Engineer, technical director of MD Brasil IT & Telecom, Mikrotik Certified Trainer, member of board directors of LACNIC.
A deep dive into monitoring and visualizing MikroTik networks. This presentation will cover: - basics of SNMP and syslog - how to configure SNMP and syslog on MikroTik - what OIDs on MikroTik are most useful - how to use SNMP and syslog to better monitor and visualize your networks - a look at monitoring software (The Dude and NetXMS)
Installing wireless network with seamless roaming with single RB device as hotspot controller and user manager for comfortable management.
Using RouterOS in the main NAP of the world and peering with the Big players of the net. By Lorenzo Busatti, technical director of Linkwave WISP, an ISP since 1997 and a Mikrotik Certified Trainer since 2010.
Real outdoor performance testing in city area.
Nowadays competitions with network technology its focus on High availability and none stop communication technique. this presentation will present HA strategies and protocols to built HA network and show the ROS feature for network HA.
Under The Pole is a submarine polar odyssey developing through several expeditions. To help scientists, Alsatis Labs, as a technological partner, has developed a prototype system to create wireless links during their mission. PoWLAN stands for « Polar Wireless LAN ». This project addresses some challenges : distant mission, low budget, hard weather conditions, not much local skills in wireless/networks and wide possible range of applications. This presentation, will focus on the technical choices in terms of hardware and software configuration where MikroTik products play a central part in the PoWLAN prototype integration.
Case study of MPLS implementation in large ISP network
