Mikrotik ISP troubleshooting

How to use Mikrotik in an ISP environment for troubleshooting. From using mAPs for your techs in the field to torch and logging.

IPsec configuration examples in latest RouterOS versions

Configuration of IPsec has changed significantly in RouterOS in the last few years. There are many guides, tutorials and presentations which are out of date due to IPsec configuration changes.

This presentation will showcase how to configure the most common IPsec use-cases in the latest RouterOS versions. We will cover configuring:
- L2TP / IPsec
- IPsec XAuth mode-config
- GRE / IPsec
- IKEv2

Panel Discussion - Routing Best Practices

Join The Brothers WISP podcast for an interactive presentation on routing best practices and everything else Mikrotik. Be sure to bring your questions and discussion is driven by your curiosity.

Ansible Mass Configuration Fast

This demonstrates how to get up and running with Ansible for mass configuration changes in the shortest time possible. I'll cover initial installation, file configuration, and demonstrate making some "hello world" mass changes.

Rebuild from the ashes

Climate change is impacting Wireless ISPs in a profound way; From entire rural communities that are burnt, to carriers that replace miles of copper with fiber, to government subsidized service over that new fiber, the WISP target market is changing forever. Valley internet is a rural WISP in Northern California, and began to feel the wrath of this change with the Lake county fires in 2016. In the Napa 2017 fires, roughly 15% of the company's infrastructure burnt, along with the homes of its subscribers.

In this presentation, our CEO will recount the events and what we have done since to recover, survive and thrive, much with the help of the Mikrotik platform. The session will showcase how we use the RouterOS to save on the bottom line, increase the top line, improve retention and get ready for the next fire.

Securing Your Router

In this presentations we’ll study about common threats and attacks to RouterOS services and prevention of such attacks.
