OSPF/BGP Implementations

BGP and OSPF are commonly implemented together. OSPF for the IGP (Interior Gateway Protocol) and BGP for the EGP (External Gateway Protocol. These work together without issues, but you should know some of the conventional ways of deploying BGP and OSPF together. This presentation should help you understand what BGP is, why you should be running it, and how it integrates with your existing OSPF network. If you are interested in understanding what BGP does for your business, and how it works, this is the presentation for you! Business owners and technical Engineers are welcome. Presented by Dennis Burgess, author of -Learn RouterOS.

VRRP Implementation

I will be demonstrating how easy it is to set up VRRP interfaces along with some tricks to help uptime appear consistent in the face of failure and maintenance. Sterling Jacobson is a Mikrotik consultant and Certified Motorola Trainer with international experience. Sterling owns and operates a wireless ISP in the state of Utah, USA. He has saved tens of thousands of dollars using Routerboard with Mikrotik software for middle and last mile internet wireless distribution, tower and border routing.

Customizing Hotspot Deployments

Summary: Combining Hotspots with other technologies such as PCC and PCQ and scaling Hotspots to thousands of users. Felix Windt, Smart City Networks (USA): Felix Windt has been a Network Engineer with Smart City Networks since 2006. Smart City is a full-service communications provider across the nation and one of the world's largest communications providers to convention centers and hospitality venues, and has provided wireless Hotspot connectivity for some of the largest events in the US with user numbers in the tens of thousands.

Utilizing Wireless N

Utilizing Wireless N. This presentation will be covering a wide range of topics as they relate to utilizing Wireless N with Router OS. I will be covering basic concepts, adjusting settings and their impact on performance, various scenarios, and troubleshooting hints. The Who, What, When, Where, Why, and Hows of deploying wireless N networks will covered. Rick Frey is a Wireless Network Engineer for SysLogic Technology Services. He has been implanting network solutions for more than 15 years and has been specializing in wireless data networks for the last three years. SysLogic provides a wide range of networking solutions and is based out of Canton, Texas.
