This will be a technical presentation about how our Wisp works, including the issues we encountered how we solved them with MikroTik.
Proper ICT helped to design and implement the network in the biggest multi-tenant building in the Netherlands, World Trade Center Amsterdam. With over 125.000 m² divided over 8 towers the NDI network services more than 500 clients and thousands of IP phones. The network is fully built on the MikroTik platform, CCR and CRS devices power the core and customized RB450G’s serve as CPE endpoint.
During this presentation Network Lead Glen Christensen from NDI ICT Solutions and Alex van der Baan CEO at Proper ICT explain how this network came to be, the challenges implementing and of course tips and suggestions for the community looking for implementing these kinds of networks themselves.
The main subjects will be :
- General VoIP network requirements;
- MikroTik VoIP best practice usages: QoS and security issues;
- VoIP PCap analytics;
- MikroTik port mirroring;
- Using homer (sipcapture.org) as centralised monitoring system for VoIP quality.
