I am gonna demonstrate how to plan a decent wireless Network. As MikroTik is going to develop new Wireless Training course and make it basic course and advanced one, means Wireless deployment supposed to be more important than before, and MikroTik has found this, so I'd like to introduce you how you can bring up the error free Wireless Network with MikroTik devices and services.
Andisa and Rotary run a WISP helping schools in the remote Panchamol valley SW of Pokhara.
We will explain;
What is the project
How we started and where the network is now.
Challenges to overcome, local terrain, planning, power, solar needs,reliable internet feed,costs
Why Mikrotik and Why an out of country design.
Features in RouterOS and network design that overcame problems. NV2, OSPF, proper network design.
Our future development plans
Presentation is directed for people who are familiar with RouterOS but do not have much experience on adjusting configuration to achieve better performance and security.
It tells about basic and most simple debugging steps which should be executed when something is not working as suspected with router and/or RouterOS.
